Since September 1, the worldwide Christian community has united in prayer and action to protect our common home during a special period dedicated to Creation.\nThis year, the proposed theme is to hope and act with Creation. <\/p>\n<\/div>

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n
<\/div>\n\n

In this season to renew our relationship with the Creator and all Creation through celebration, conversion and commitment together, we join our sisters and brothers of the ecumenical family in prayer for our common home. <\/p>\n\n

Pope Francis, in celebrating the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on September 1, opening the Time of Creation, said:<\/p>\n\n

“I sponsor on behalf of everyone, institutions, associations, families and all individuals, a concrete effort for our common home. The cry of the wounded Earth is becoming ever more alarming and calls for decisive and non-extendable action.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Within the Vedruna Family, love for Creation occupies a very important place.\nAmong other celebrations, the community of the Province of India recently celebrated the Time of Creation with the feast of the forest<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

Today we share a prayer for Creation to join the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home: <\/p>\n\n

<\/div>\n\n

Prayer: Our Father and Creation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\n

Our Father who art in heaven<\/strong> and also with us and in the interior of our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

everything created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hallowed be thy name<\/strong> by the breath of the air and the sound of the waters, the fecundity of the waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of the earth, the beauty of the valleys and the mountains, the existence of all living things, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the dignity of human beings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thy Kingdom<\/strong> of truth and life, of justice, love and peace, come to us<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; Thy<\/strong> will be done<\/strong> on earth as it is in heaven<\/strong>; Thy will to see all Thy people happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

sons and daughters, that every manifestation of life be respected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give us today our daily bread<\/strong> so that broken and shared, all may reach<\/p>\n\n\n\n

have enough and can live their lives to the fullest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forgive us our offenses,<\/strong> our lack of love for others, our eagerness for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

our selfish individualism, our exploitation of the environment, our<\/p>\n\n\n\n

our lack of care for other species and our lack of solidarity with future species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we forgive those who offend us<\/strong> by seeking reconciliation through<\/p>\n\n\n\n

justice and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not allow us to be tempted to<\/strong> turn our backs on you, to ignore our brothers and sisters or<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of forgetting or discarding the poor, of turning the care of Creation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in abuse and exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And deliver us from evil<\/strong>, the evil of destroying or mistreating the life of every being, the harmony of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
