{"id":15744,"date":"2024-12-02T07:49:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T06:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vedruna.org\/amaias-volunteering-experience-believing-in-what-you-do-and-the-importance-of-accompanying-in-the-process\/"},"modified":"2025-12-05T10:58:46","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T09:58:46","slug":"amaias-volunteering-experience-believing-in-what-you-do-and-the-importance-of-accompanying-in-the-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vedruna.org\/en\/amaias-volunteering-experience-believing-in-what-you-do-and-the-importance-of-accompanying-in-the-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Amaia&#8217;s volunteering experience: &#8220;Believing in what you do and the importance of accompanying in the process&#8221;."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today we share Amaia&#8217;s volunteer experience in the village of Nuevo San Juan, Peru.  <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I left Celend\u00edn on October 11 and arrived in San Juan on the 13th, where I am until the 30th.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The time I spend there is short and I live it with full intensity, dedicating my time to the people that Sister Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9, from the community, tells me I can help.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Maria Marichi<\/strong>, an 82-year-old woman, who has been dependent for 4 years, without leaving her front door.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Yuler<\/strong>, a 3 year old boy, who due to a fall a month after his birth has a disability, imbalance in his left side and eyes, and who received biomagnetism treatment last year, still has no strength in the left side of his body, although his eyes are better.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Do\u00f1a<\/strong><strong>Yolanda<\/strong>, 65 years old, who for some time now no one knows what is wrong with her and who, in addition to not being able to walk, is prostrate and very sad.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Her daughter<\/strong>, in her 40s, with low back pain that is giving her a lot of discomfort.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I treat these people on a daily basis, except for the boy because I cannot reach an agreement with his mother, and instead I treat the sister who is with me in the house.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the morning I did two people and in the afternoon I did the other two.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can say with joy and emotion that I left Mrs. Maria walking and doing things she has not done in the last four years, such as being able to bathe herself, cut chicken, walk with her husband&#8230;, and much more. Mrs. Yolanda improved enough to move around and go to some celebrations far from her home, and she changed her sad and painful expression for a smile, seeing that she could walk. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her daughter&#8217;s low back pain improved.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the sister who lived with me every day rested very well the time she was with the magnets.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can say that with simple instruments <em>&#8211; the magnets, my hands and the photo machine &#8211;<\/em> <em>and dedication,<\/em> some people had an improvement in their health.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These simple instruments accompanied me during my stay in Peru and I have put them at the service of the people in the places where I have been, Lima, Celend\u00edn, Pucallpa and Nuevo San Juan.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All of this makes me happy and encourages me to continue sharing my life and to enjoy it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key is <strong>&#8220;believing in what you do and the importance of accompanying in the process&#8221;.<\/strong> It is not about putting magnets, like putting on a T-shirt, it is about sharing the T-shirt. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have returned full of life and illusion.
