December 8<\/strong> is the day on which the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Today we invite the entire Vedruna Family to join in the celebration with the following prayer: <\/p>\n\n

<\/div>\n\n
\n

Holy and Immaculate Virgin,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

to You, who are the pride of our people<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the maternal protection of our city,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

we welcome each other with trust and love.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are all beauty, Maria.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In You there is no stain of sin.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renew in us the desire to be saints:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that in our words the truth may shine forth,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may our works be a hymn to charity,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may purity and chastity shine in our body and in our heart,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that the splendor of the Gospel may be reflected in our lives.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are all beauty, Maria.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In you the Word of God was made flesh.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Help us to be always attentive to the voice of the Lord:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that we not be deaf to the cry of the poor,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that the suffering of the sick and the oppressed not find us distracted,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that the loneliness of the elderly and the helplessness of children do not leave us indifferent,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that we always love and respect all human life.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are all beauty, Maria.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In you we see the full joy of blissful life with God.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we never lose our way in this world:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may the light of faith illumine our lives,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may the consoling power of hope guide our steps,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may the enthusiastic ardor of love inflame our hearts,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may our eyes be fixed on the Lord, the source of true joy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are all beauty, Maria.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hear our prayer, attend to our supplication:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may the merciful love of God in Jesus seduce us,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

may divine beauty save us, our city and the whole world.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
