With immense joy, we are approaching the Bicentenary <\/strong>of the Foundation of our Congregation, which will be celebrated between February 26, 2026 and February 26, 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This 2025 marks 199 years since Joaquina began a new project of Religious Life, which has grown and expanded throughout the planet. In many parts of the world, the Vedruna Family is already beginning to prepare the celebrations for this occasion. For this reason, the Bicentenary Guide is already available:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

This document presents the motivation and objectives of the Bicentenary of the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity Vedruna, highlighting its history of dedication, love and service. It invites to make grateful memory, and to continue renewing the charism and projecting the mission into the future. It is a call for the whole Vedruna Family to unite in celebration <\/strong>of this two-century journey, with hope and commitment. <\/p>\n\n

The Bicentennial Guide begins with the words of Sister General, Mar\u00eda Teresa Cuervo Buitrago<\/strong>, in which she echoes the gratitude with which we want to live the memory of the road we have traveled and the invitation to reflect on where we are headed in the future.<\/p>\n\n

The motivation and objectives<\/strong> have been written in collaboration between two sisters of different generations, Maria Teresa Llach and Rita Aragon<\/strong>. With their words we receive the invitation to live the Bicentenary as an opportunity to rediscover the Charism and renew ourselves in the mission. <\/p>\n\n

The document also includes the calendar with some of the general events<\/strong> that will be held in 2026 in Vic; throughout this year, other events will be added, which will be reported in due course. In addition to the general events, each Province\/Delegation will have its own events to celebrate the Bicentenary, which will be reported through news on this website. <\/p>\n\n

The Bicentenary Guide also contains the presentation of the design of the slogan and logo, the<\/strong> fruit of collaborative and synodal work between the General Team, the Intercontinental Bicentenary Commission and the Communications Team. <\/p>\n\n
