My recent trip to Japan was a deeply meaningful and enriching experience. After seven long years, it was a time of reconnection, remembrance, and renewal. Many things happened during these 7 years. Sad to see so many sisters already went to receive their heavenly reward, but happy to see the rest of the sisters so happy and full of vigor. We were also very happy to see our pre-novice \u96ea\u5a77, so active and bringing life in the community<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most touching moments was meeting with our sisters of the province, whose warm welcome and generous hospitality reminded me of the beautiful family spirit of our Congregation. Being with them, even for a short while, felt like coming home. We laughed, shared stories, and drew strength from each other\u2019s presence. What touched me most was to see our younger sister taking care of the older sisters of the community. For example, when anything was spoken in the community, be it meals time or conference time, they would write everything on the white board for the sisters who have hearing problems because of old age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were also blessed to attend the closing ceremony of the 70th anniversary of our school, Aitoku Gakuen. It was a beautiful, joyful, and meaningful celebration, filled with the spirit of thanksgiving for all that has been accomplished over the years. It was inspiring to witness the continuing growth of the mission we all share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another moving part of our trip was our visit to the cemetery where we put our beloved Sr. Seki to rest. Standing in that sacred place, I was filled with a profound sense of gratitude for their lives, and sacrifices. It was a silent yet powerful moment of prayer and reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also had the chance to visit Awajishima, the other side of the bridge, where the landscape greeted us with natural beauty. The sight of the flowers in full bloom\u2014so vibrant and alive\u2014reminded me of God\u2019s gentle artistry and the quiet joy that surrounds us, even in the midst of a busy world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though the weather was hot and humid, each moment felt purposeful and fulfilling. I am especially grateful to our dear Provincial, Sr. Shirahama for making our stay in Japan not only comfortable but also truly fruitful. Her thoughtful care ensured that every detail of our visit contributed to a deeper spiritual experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, this trip was a pilgrimage of heart and soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
