On October 18 and 19, in the facilities of Colegio El Carmelo, in Caracas, the Vedruna Vocational Coexistence Cycle<\/strong> began, with the purpose of continuing to promote a vocational culture that helps young people to discover the purpose that God has for their lives.<\/p>\n\n

The first meeting was entitled “Come and See”<\/em> (Jn 1:46), and brought together 23 young people from Zulia, Puerto Ordaz, Anaco, Anaco, Aragua de Barcelona, Barcelona, Caracas, Villa de Cura and Bella Vista, accompanied by 10 educators from the pastoral team of the educational centers where the Vedruna charism is lived.<\/p>\n\n

The day began with moments of integration and prayer<\/strong>, followed by a formative space focused on vocation<\/strong> in the light of biblical characters such as Abraham, Moses and Elijah. Santos Martinez, a Carmelite, who awakened in the young people anxieties and desires to deepen their relationship with God. <\/p>\n\n

In tune with the call of the Gospel, the participants visited the Petare neighborhood, one of the most emblematic hills of Caracas, where they shared recreational games with the children of the community<\/strong>. This experience of solidarity allowed the young people to recognize the presence of Jesus in everyday life and to reflect on the inner challenges that arise when following him. <\/p>\n\n

During the sharing, the different options of vocational life were also addressed in a dynamic way, inviting each participant to draw a timeline of the moments in which they have felt the presence and action of the Lord in their lives.<\/p>\n\n

They were two intense and fruitful days, where recreation, formation and prayer were integrated in an experience of discernment and fraternal encounter. The young people returned to their communities with the commitment to continue their vocational process, accompanied by their pastoral coordinators, encouraged by the words of St. Joaquina de Vedruna: <\/p>\n\n

“Nothing pleases God so much as constancy.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
