At the Kekeli Center<\/a>, the month of October was a great time to deepen its mission to promote women and girls. <\/p>\n\n

Pink October against breast cancer, in close proximity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As part of the fight against breast cancer, the Kekeli Center organized an awareness-raising training session for women vendors at the Hanoukop\u00e9 market in Lom\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n

This initiative, which is financially supported by Manos Unidas, is part of a community-based approach aimed at strengthening prevention and promoting women’s health.<\/p>\n\n

The meeting provided participants with information on the causes, risk factors, early signs and detection methods for breast cancer. Through interactive exchanges and visual aids, the three gynecologists invited by the center encouraged women to adopt health-enhancing behaviors and not to neglect regular medical examinations. <\/p>\n\n

Following the awareness campaign, free screenings were offered to the women present. The beneficiaries welcomed this opportunity, which allowed them to undergo essential medical check-ups, often inaccessible due to economic constraints or lack of information. <\/p>\n\n

The Kekeli Center stressed that women’s health is a fundamental pillar of family well-being. By enabling mothers to take care of their health, the initiative indirectly aims to strengthen their ability to continue their income-generating activities and raise their children in a more stable and serene environment, thus contributing to their empowerment. <\/p>\n\n

This action by the Kekeli Center illustrates the importance of outreach campaigns to reach vulnerable populations and raise collective awareness of public health issues.<\/p>\n
