For me, my temporary vows are much more than a temporary commitment: they are a loving response to God’s call and a new step on the path to my consecration. Through His grace, I have had the joy of renewing my “yes” to the Lord and my desire to follow Him faithfully.
Through the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, I choose to give Christ the best of myself and to allow Him to shape me. Poverty teaches me to place my trust in God; chastity, to love with a free and open heart; and obedience, to listen to and accept His will with faith.
The celebration of my vows, marked by prayer, joy, and thanksgiving, was a profoundly memorable moment. It reminded me that my vocation is, above all, a love story with God, one that is built each day through faithfulness, trust, and self-giving.
I give thanks to the Lord for the gift of my vocation and for all the people who walk alongside me: my family, my community, my friends, and all those who support me through their presence and their prayers. Their support gives me the courage to keep moving forward.
My temporary vows, therefore, are a humble, free, and confident “yes.” I ask the Lord to grant me the grace to remain faithful to his call, to serve with joy and generosity, and to make my consecrated life a witness to his love.
