Within the framework of the Jubilee “Pilgrims of Hope”, celebrated throughout the Church, the Jubilee of Consecrated Life took place in Rome on October 8 and 9. With a large and lively participation of religious men and women from all over the world, the meeting was marked by moments of prayer, reflection and pilgrimage.

In her message, Sr. Lusitania recounted how, since 2019, the Vedruna community there supports a school, a health center and a water purification plant, which offer education, food and basic care to hundreds of families in the midst of a situation of great insecurity. He also told how, after the closing of the border in 2023 and their inability to return to Haiti in March 2024, the community, after discernment with the Diocese of Barahona, settled in Jimaní (Dominican Republic) to continue accompanying the mission and maintain contact with the Fond Parisien team, both in person and virtually.

It is these simple and shared gestures, woven into our daily lives, that nourish our hope and encourage us to continue walking together, pilgrims of hope in solidarity.
