The school of Deep Darshan in Ahwa marked a significant milestone on December 6, 2025, as it commemorated 50 successful years since its establishment in 1975.
The Golden Jubilee celebration began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration that began at 10:00 a.m., and was preceded over by Bishop Sebastiao Mascarenhas of the Baroda diocese. We were happy to have several Priests from other missions around concelebrating and sharing in the Thanksgiving Eucharist.
The event was organized around the school’s motto, “Shaping the Individual for a New Society“, and featured a range of cultural programs, including traditional dances and performances by our students. Their performance showcased the efforts and dedication of the teachers, highlighting their tireless work in shaping the minds of the next generation.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Vijaybhai Patel, Deputy Chief of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and MLA from Dang, who inaugurated the program. Other notable attendees included Rev. Bishop Sebastiao Mascarenhas, Rev. Sister Daisy Cyriac, the provincial of India, and Sr. Annamma, a pioneer of the institution and many sisters from the Vedruna communities in India.
The school honoured former students and sisters who have taught in the school during the ceremony, recognizing their enormous contribution to the school. The Principal Sr. Suhasini played a key role in organizing the event, which showcased the school’s commitment to shaping individuals for a new society. In the Annual Report of the school, we highlighted its achievements over the past five decades, including its growth and development into a premier educational institution in the region.
The Sisters expressed gratitude for the community’s support over the past five decades, making the event a truly memorable one for all present. The celebration concluded with a sense of joy and appreciation for what the school is today, as it looks to the future and continues to shape individuals for a new society.
