On the occasion of the Bicentenary celebration of our Congregation, the Uplat community organized a two-day Vocation Camp for 33 young girls. The aim of the camp was to accompany the participants in their journey of discernment and help them grow in awareness of God’s loving call in their lives.
The programme focused on sharing the life and mission of St. Joaquina, nurturing faith, and helping the participants recognize and respond to the gentle call of Jesus in their lives.Through various sessions, the participants were guided in understanding God’s call and in developing an openness to listen attentively to His voice.
Special emphasis was given to the life of St. Joaquina and her mission in the field of education, especially her passion for empowering girls through her pedagogy of love. The sessions encouraged the participants to reflect on her example of faith, service, and dedication.
There were also sessions on “The Bible and Our Life,” which helped the girls connect Scripture with daily living and recognize the presence and action of God in their personal experiences. The programme included group discussions, reflections, sharing, and interactive activities that encouraged active participation.
The girls participated enthusiastically and showed genuine interest in learning about the life of St. Joaquina. They were open during the sharing sessions and expressed curiosity about religious life and vocation. They appreciated the simplicity, relevance, and practical nature of the topics presented.
Throughout the programme, an atmosphere of prayerfulness and attentiveness was clearly visible. The camp helped the participants begin reflecting more deeply on their faith and on the important choices they will make in life.
