From February 11 to 14, 2024, a carnival youth camp was held in the parish of Carnaubeira de la Penha, Brazil.
We started at 4 p.m. on Sunday, in the community of Aldeia Riacho do Olho d’Água with the welcome of the young people coming from different communities. We had 40 participants.
The general theme was: “You are the Salt of the Earth and the Light of the World”.
On the 14th, together with the local community, we closed the activities with the celebration of the imposition of ashes.
Each youth camp reminds us of the urgency and need to create spaces for young people and give them the opportunity to be bearers and animators of the faith in the communities.
We thank God for so much life, creativity and dedication of these young people who want to be heralds of the Good News.
