From June 23 to 27, the community of Puñal Lourdes in the Province of Santiago, Dominican Republic, was transformed into a place of joy, learning and solidarity with the realization of the Vedruna 2025 Summer Camp, under the slogan “Sowing love, we cultivate hope”. For five days, 50 boys and girls between 6 and 11 years old lived an unforgettable experience, full of educational activities, games, creativity and lots of love.
This project was made possible thanks to the generous commitment of 19 monitors, who offered their time, energy and heart to accompany these children, many of whom come from families with limited resources. The community also played an essential role, collaborating with daily snacks and the necessary materials to make each day full of meaning and color.
The motto of our Bicentennial, “Generous Love, Inspiring Mission”, sums up perfectly what we experienced during this week. We express our deep gratitude to the monitors, whose silent but transforming dedication left indelible marks on each child. Thanks also to all the people of the community who made this dream possible, whose generosity sows hope!
