Celebrating the Bicentennial with sports: 1st Vedruna Volleyball Cup at El Carmelo School in Caracas

From February 1 to March 7, 2026, Colegio El Carmelo in Caracas, Venezuela was the scene of a historic event: the 1st Bicentennial Vedruna Volleyball Cup, a tournament that brought together Caracas schools and volleyball academies in a celebration of sport, healthy competition and, above all, the values that identify us as an educational community.

With the participation of high-level sports teams, each match became a showcase of talent, effort and camaraderie. Beyond the results, what stood out was the atmosphere of fraternity, emotion and joy that was experienced in each match, reflecting the spirit that inspires us as an institution: to form not only great athletes, but also integral people, committed to excellence and respect.

The champion of the cup was Colegio San Agustín del Paraíso, Caracas. This cup was not only a competition, but an opportunity to share our charisma and educational proposal with other communities. Many discovered for the first time the human warmth and the academic and sports quality that characterize Colegio El Carmelo. Today, thanks to this tournament, more people talk about us, our history and the values that guide us, inspired by the legacy of Saint Joaquina de Vedruna.

We thank all participants, families, coaches and collaborators for being part of this unforgettable experience.

We will continue to promote sports as a tool for training and meeting people!
