From February 21 to 23, the communities of the Vedrun-America Novitiate in Campinas and the Central House in Maringá held several meetings with the youth, beginning the pastoral activities for the year 2025.
On the evening of the 21st, Sisters Eunice and Júlia, together with the Pastoral Team of Santa Cruz School, began the meeting with the ‘Grupo Trilla’ of the school (young people from the third year of high school and former students who participate in pastoral activities). A moment of spirituality was experienced through the “Hermeneutics of the Imagination”, with the inspirational text “Courage! Arise, He is calling you” (Mk 10:49). The young people entered into the dynamics of a personal encounter with the characters of the story of blind Bartimaeus, followed by group work and sharing.

After several months without activities for the youth, on February 22, in the Santa Joaquina de Vedruna Parish of Maringá, the Kairos Youth Ministry began with the youth of the neighborhood. The inspiring biblical text was “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15), which helped us to reflect on our mission as baptized persons in the face of current needs. We also had moments of animation and sharing of expectations for the new year of this new group.
On the 23rd we welcomed three young women to the novitiate community to share the afternoon with us. The moment was marked by a space of welcome, presentations and dialogue about our projects and dreams.
In the days leading up to the celebration of the 199th anniversary of our Congregation, we took the opportunity to present our charism and the various ways of belonging to the family, according to the vocation to which each person feels called. We ended the meeting with a moment of spirituality and planning future meetings.
