Haiti- Fonds Parisien:Reality teaches us to be creative and resilient

In a context marked by conflict and violence generated by armed gangs in the country, a small town has demonstrated its unwavering spirit of resilience. The community is proud to announce the successful completion of the 2023-2024 school year and the beginning of the “summer camp and school reinforcement”.

The central theme of this year’s camp, “Together we live in respect”, was selected with the objective of promoting one of the essential moral values for the transformation of society. The camp organization stresses the importance of instilling respect in children as a crucial tool to counteract prevailing violence.

Approximately 200 children between the ages of 6 and 14 participated in the camp. During this period, participants enjoyed an enriching environment that combined educational and recreational activities. Activities included dances, songs, handicrafts with recycled materials and video training sessions. All these activities were designed with the objective of promoting a culture of peace through the experience and deepening of values.

The entire school staff is deeply grateful to the God of life and to all the people who have offered their support through prayers and acts of solidarity. This support has been fundamental for the realization of this enriching educational and recreational experience.

This event not only highlights the community’s ability to overcome adversity, but also its commitment to the education and integral formation of its youth, promoting a more peaceful and respectful future.
