In VedrunAmerica we move “out into the deep” along the paths of synodality

From Thursday, October 17 to Sunday, October 20, the Meeting of Mission Teams of Vedruna-America took place in the house of the Vedruna Sisters in Puente Alto (Chile), with the theme:

Row out to sea

There were representatives from the twelve countries where there is Vedruna presence, among them 17 lay people and 17 sisters, who make up the different mission teams of the Province. They were four days of work in order to define a unified chronogram from now to 2027.

The sisters of the host community received the participants of the seven teams with joy and a multitude of details:

  • Healing Mission
  • Training
  • Pastoral Education and Charism
  • Vedruna Youth Mission and Vocational Culture
  • Administrative Management
  • Communication, Prophecy and Creation care
  • Charismatic Family

The days included prayer, dynamics and a constant sharing and exchange within each team in interconnection with each of the work branches.

Salesian priest Heriberto Cabrera Reyes was the facilitator who led the meeting, in which each team analyzed its reality, challenges and objectives. The arduous days of work resulted in the document “Shared Paths in the Vedrun-America Province”, with a synodal planning for the work of the teams in the present triennium.

On Sunday, after polishing the last details of the work, we ended with the Eucharist, saying goodbye with joy and with the gesture of the sending out by the link sisters to further confirm the commitment of the teams.
