Kid’s day for the Bicentenary celebrations

On May 3, 2026, Sunday, we celebrated “Kids’ Day” for the children of Kabinam village in Maram, Manipur, as part of our Bicentenary celebration. Thirty children participated in this programme. Sisters Nita and Genevieve, along with our hostel students Manna, Sylvia, Rormi, and Zenrephy, conducted the event successfully.

We started the celebration with a short prayer led by Sr. Nita. Sr. Genevieve, Sylvia, and Zenrephy then led the children in beautiful action songs, which kept them lively and active. Next, we conducted various games, including bursting balloons, imitating the leader, picking sweets, and Bible trivia, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. After the games, the participants were honoured with prizes.

Toward the end of the celebration, Sr. Nita shared incidents from the childhood of St. Joaquina de Vedruna, briefly explaining her life journey. Afterward, refreshments were distributed to everyone.

The children expressed their gratitude to the sisters and the team for organizing such a wonderful celebration.
