As a part of the Bicentenary Celebration of St. Joaquina de Vedruna, a Spell Bee Competition was organized for the students of Classes I and II. The activity was planned to help the young learners discover and remember important words related to the life, mission and legacy of St. Joaquina in a fun and engaging way.
The competition was conducted in an interesting format and was divided into different rounds, including the Rapid Round, Jumbled Words Round and Make the Spelling Round. Each round brought a different challenge and encouraged the children to think quickly, recall the words and spell them correctly.
There were three teams, with four members in each team, comprising students from Classes I and II. The participants took part in all the rounds with great enthusiasm, confidence and team spirit. The words used throughout the competition were connected with significant people, places, events and values associated with the life of St. Joaquina.
The competition not only helped the students improve their spelling and vocabulary skills but also gave them an opportunity to become more familiar with the inspiring life and mission of St. Joaquina. The lively participation of the children made the activity both enjoyable and meaningful.
The Spell Bee Competition was a joyful learning experience that brought together language learning, teamwork and the celebration of St. Joaquina’s Bicentenary, making the occasion memorable for the young learners.
The students of class 3 and 4 presented the quotations of St. Joquina during the spell Bee competition. The children enjoyed writing meaningful quotations of St. Joaquina, learning about her life and values through the activity.
The experience helped them reflect on her message of love, charity and service in a simple and creative way.
