On September 26 and 27 we had the opportunity to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Vedruna Youth Mission (MJV) at the Vedruna School in San Felipe, together with young people from Puente Alto and San Felipe. This year’s motto was “With generous love, we walk as pilgrims of hope”, and we really felt it in every moment.
During the day we lived experiences that made us reflect, share and enjoy together:
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, where everyone was able to place their dreams and projects in the hands of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
- Bonfire, where we burn our despairs and reflect on what keeps us steadfast in hope.
- Dynamics on generous love, where we dialogue and share concrete actions that build fraternity and those that we must transform.
- Pilgrims of hope, traveling through San Felipe, reaffirming that to be young is to walk with confidence, joy, solidarity and caring for creation.
The meeting ended by joining the youth of the Diocese of San Felipe in a pilgrimage with the Blessed Sacrament to the Cathedral, where we celebrated the Eucharist together.
We had a lot of fun with the different dynamics, which made us all participate and laugh together.
Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable experience. It allowed us to get out of our comfort zone, to share with other young people and to feel that being a pilgrim of hope is possible every day.
