Preparing for the Bicentennial with living faith, unity and hope

As we approach the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity Vedruna, we are invited to look at our history with grateful memory, to celebrate the present with joy and to renew our commitment to the future.

Inspired by the testimony of St. Joaquina, we learn that love is always creative and impels us to care with tenderness, educate with closeness and serve with courage.

Here, in the city of Salgueiro-Pernambuco, in the heart of the Northeast of Brazil, we live this time of preparation with living faith, unity and hope, letting Vedruna life pulsate in our communities, in schools, in families and in every gesture of daily care.

As St. Joaquina used to say, let us do “Everything by love, nothing by force”.
