Testimonies: how May 22nd was experienced in the Vedruna communities of Brazil

Today we want to recall the experience of the celebrations of May 22 in Brazil, where our communities of Sisters, laity, school and the Vedruna Assistance Center celebrated in different ways the Vedruna Charism that is still alive among us.

We took into account the materials developed by the Bicentennial Commissions of the Province of Vedrun-America and the General Bicentennial Commission. They highlighted the liturgical celebrations, novenas and triduums to St. Joaquina. These are the testimonies of the experiences in each community.

Belo Horizonte

The Bicentennial celebration in Belo Horizonte had several celebratory moments.

Every day our community prayed this event, participated in the requests of the Commission of Manso, province and country. The novena of St. Joaquina was special, because we received from the Vedruna Youth Mission the beautiful novena translated and reformulated. We enjoyed very much what was prepared.

We celebrate other moments in our home and in the parish with young people, with families, with people from the parish and other people.

The Eucharistic Celebration took place in the parish, we took advantage of the Friday morning Eucharistic celebration that always takes place in the parish. We thank God for all that we have experienced.

Campinas

From the Novitiate of VedrunAmerica, with all the depth of the experiences of these days of the Novena prayed in our communities and together with our charismatic family, we were able to prepare ourselves in the atmosphere of the Bicentennial for our congregational feast.

We celebrated with simplicity and a sense of family, together with our parish of Santa Monica and the Vedruna Center, which dedicated a special week of reflection and resumption of the life and history of St. Joaquina, and we had a festive and festive day with everyone. The Vedruna legacy is still alive and present among us, manifested in the Generous Love and the Mission it inspires.

Maringá

On May 22 we celebrated with joy and gratitude the Day of St. Joaquina de Vedruna, in the Santa Cruz School and Parish, where we accompanied the people at Mass.

We actively participated in the Eucharist. We could perceive in the people great devotion to our Foundress, patroness of the school and the parish. The tributes made to St. Joaquina de Vedruna were very beautiful.

Also in our celebration, on May 24, there was a celebration between the sisters of the Guadalupe and Santa Cruz communities with the material of the Bicentennial Commission, we had a moment of prayer and then we celebrated St. Joaquina.
