On September 27, National Bible Day in the Dominican Republic, a significant activity was held at the civic event of the Vedruna Basic School, with the participation of the entire educational community.
This day closed the triduum with activities allusive to the Holy Bible, where boys and girls participated with biblical readings, reflections and songs of animation.
The activity was carried out in conjunction with the elaboration and exhibition of bibles made by the students, songs of animation, dramatization in monologue of a living Bible and dances alluding to the Bible. There was also a special decoration of the space where the activity took place.
The Bible corner that has accompanied us throughout the month of September was also renewed.
The objective was achieved: to promote the values and knowledge that the Bible teaches us as the Word of God that illuminates our lives and our actions. We also became aware of the importance of knowing and reading the Bible, the values it offers us, the obedience and practice of living according to God’s will. The shared atmosphere was one of prayer and spirituality.
The children received support from the school’s faculty, administration, parents and guardians, and alumni.
