On July 16, Vedruna Family Day, with great joy, the students of the 4th year of high school, together with their families, gathered at the San Pedro de Los Chaguaramos Church (Caracas) to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. This significant event was attended by the management team and teachers of the school, who accompanied the confirmands in this important step of their spiritual life.
The mass, presided by Father Fermín Gómez, was a deeply moving moment. In his homily, Father Pérez emphasized that Confirmation is a sacrament that strengthens and confirms the desire of young people to continue growing in faith, committing themselves to live as authentic witnesses of Christ in the world.
The celebration was accompanied by the beautiful music of the school choir, directed by Professor Oswaldo Jiménez, whose performance filled the event with joy and festive spirit. We are deeply grateful to the choir for their dedication and for enlivening this special day.
This day took on an even more special significance as it coincided with the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the patroness who guides and protects our Carmelite educational community. Celebrating Confirmation on this day reminds us of the importance of devotion and commitment to the Christian values that our patroness represents.
Confirmation is not only a crucial step in the spiritual life of our students, but also a moment of union and reflection for the entire educational community. We thank all the families, teachers and school staff for their participation and support on this memorable day.
May Our Lady of Mount Carmel continue to guide and illuminate the path of our young confirmands, filling them with strength and wisdom to face future challenges with faith and determination.
