On Saturday, October 10, our community at the Santa Joaquina de Vedruna Chapel in Los Jardines, Cantaura, enjoyed a very special afternoon. As part of the evening celebration of the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time, we began a new cycle of catechesis with enthusiasm and hope.
The liturgical celebration was beautifully led by our altar server, Julio Canache, who, with dedication, solemnity, and a spirit of service, guided the congregation in prayer, preparing our hearts to experience a moment of deep communion and faith.
We had the immense joy of sharing this moment and welcoming our sisters from the Carmelitas Vedruna Congregation: María Irizar, from the General Team; Alicia Zanichelli, Provincial of VedrunAmérica; Carmen Alicia Figuera, Delegate for Venezuela; and Marije Asteguía, from Anaco.
Their fraternal presence, warmth, and witness of faith comfort us on our journey and remind us that the role of the catechist is to be a joyful messenger of the Gospel, accompanying our children, young people, and families as we introduce them to the mystery of God’s love.
We thank the Lord for this gathering, which renews our hope and inspires us to continue building an ecclesial community through dialogue, hospitality, and love expressed through service.
May Saint Joaquina continue to guide our every step!
Jesús Meneses, Vedruna Layman
