In Venezuela, since 1990, every second Sunday of November, the “Abrazo en Familia” (Family Hug) is celebrated , a proposal of the Family Pastoral Department of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference.
The objective of this celebration is to promote the values of love, respect and fraternity among family members. Hugging is a way of expressing support, gratitude, empathy and optimism; it helps us to build self-esteem, share pleasant moments and feel accompanied.
Therefore, on Saturday, November 9, we celebrated at the Carmelo School in Caracas, which was filled with joy and love for the occasion .
We lived an unforgettable day that began with an emotional Eucharist, presided by Father Beyker Ramirez, who invited us to strengthen family ties and to maintain open and sincere communication.
The mass was accompanied by the songs of our choir. Father Ramirez’s words reminded us of the importance of family unity and filled us with hope.
After mass, we shared a delicious soup and enjoyed various recreational activities that allowed us to spend a pleasant time in the company of our loved ones. It was a day full of laughter, games and special moments that will strengthen the bonds between the families of our educational community.
Afterwards, a fraternal agape was offered with a delicious soup and various recreational activities for all ages. This day once again demonstrated the strong sense of community that characterizes our institution.
