As part of the Bicentenary celebration, we presented a skit on St. Joaquina de Vedruna’s life, mission, and values on 30th September. The children participated with great enthusiasm, love, and dedication. They prepared themselves well and presented the skit with confidence and joy.
It was inspiring to see how well the children understood the life, mission, and teachings of St. Joaquina. Their understanding was evident when they were able to answer the questions asked after the presentation. This showed that the skit had helped them not only to learn about St. Joaquina but also to understand and appreciate her values and message.
We were especially happy and impressed to see the non-Catholic children taking an active part in the skit with the same enthusiasm and commitment. Their participation reflected the spirit of unity, openness, respect, and togetherness that we wish to nurture in our school community.
The skit was a meaningful part of our Bicentenary journey, helping the children to discover and celebrate the legacy of St. Joaquina de Vedruna. Through her life and example, they were encouraged to reflect on values such as love, compassion, service, courage, faith, and care for others.
The entire programme was a beautiful and enriching experience for both the children and the staff. It reminded us that the spirit and values of St. Joaquina continue to inspire and guide us even after two hundred years.
