The celebration of St. Joaquina’s Day, within the Congregational Bicentenary, made the Santa Joaquina de Vedruna School of Puente Alto live an emotional day marked by faith, grateful memory and sense of community.
The celebration began in the morning with the Eucharist. The trajectory and commitment of the workers of the educational center with more than 30 years of service was recognized, recognizing in them the living permanence of the Vedruna charism through time.
As is the tradition of the school, after the Eucharist, a tasty breakfast of milk and pastries was shared with all the students and guests who participated in the liturgical celebration, strengthening the family spirit that characterizes us as an educational community.
One of the most significant moments of the day was the dramatized and musicalized representation of the life of St. Joaquina, prepared by the teaching team. Through a careful and emotional staging, the four stages of Joaquina’s life were represented: daughter, wife, mother and founder.
The presentation managed to convey with delicacy and depth the different stages of Joaquina’s life, helping the students to follow each scene attentively and connect with the message of generous love and mission that inspires the Congregational Bicentennial.
The activity was transmitted live via YouTube from the Bicentennial Channel, allowing different communities to accompany this moment from other parts of VedrunAmerica.
The enthusiasm and affection with which students, parents, alumni and employees of the center participated gave a special force to this celebration, reflecting a community united around Joaquina’s legacy and the desire to continue building an educational mission centered on fraternity, simplicity and hope.
The day concluded with gratitude and joy, reaffirming that the Vedruna charism continues to be alive in every gesture of service, encounter and community.
