As the entire Vedruna Family rejoices and raises its song of gratitude to the Most Holy Trinity for the precious gift of our Vedruna Charism, we, the community of Shradhaseri, Mumbai, marked 20th September as a special day of thanksgiving and celebration.
The day began with a meaningful and solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Anil Pereira, SJ, Provincial of the Mumbai Jesuit Province, along with other concelebrants. The presence of our parishioners, friends, family members, and religious from neighbouring communities added special joy and warmth to the celebration.
In his homily, the main celebrant reflected at length on three significant Vedruna characteristics; Prayer, Poverty, and Charity, drawing our attention to these immortal values that we are called to embrace and embody in our lives and mission as we continue our journey into the third century of Vedruna presence and service. We were deeply grateful for his words of appreciation and recognition of our contribution to people on the margins in different parts of India.
Following this spiritual nourishment, the young and vibrant sisters and novices of the community filled the gathering with energy and enthusiasm through games, songs, and moments of joyful fellowship, accompanied by light refreshments. The atmosphere of family spirit, togetherness, and shared joy was truly a blessing and a precious gift to everyone present reliving the warmth of the cradle of our Vedruna home- Manso Escorial! May the spark of love spread into the entire world for many more years through love and more love that never says enough.
