Vedruna Mission in the Province of India
The Vedruna charism is a triple gift to the Church in India. We carry out our Charism following our Lord and teacher who was poor, through our healing, educational, and socio-pastoral mission.

Always educate with love, never by force.
In our teaching mission we use the pedagogy of St. Joaquina: “Everything with love, nothing by force”. Our main objective is to impart knowledge through formal and non-formal education to more than 6000 young students. They are trained in general knowledge, sports, activities and self-defense techniques.

Healing needs
Through our healing mission we bring goodness to the individual and the family. Through this ministry we give good health to the neediest people. Most of our patients cannot afford the medicines of private clinics nor can they afford to travel to distant hospitals.

Empowering women
India is a patriarchal country, where women are considered inferior to men. We play a key role in making our women self-reliant through various activities, seminars and trainings. The women we train today are women with a voice. They have received an education and can read and write without depending on others.

Socio-pastoral accompaniment
We reach out to young people through the Jesus Youth group. Young people feel lost in this confusing world. Bringing them together encourages them to face the daily difficulties of their lives, and belonging to a group allows them to feel supported.
