The earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 have sparked a great wave of solidarity throughout the Vedruna family. On both sides of the Atlantic, various communities are joining forces to support those who need it most.
One of the key elements of this relief effort is the El Carmelo School in Caracas, which has become a major distribution center for humanitarian aid for affected families.
In an effort to bring this reality closer to the entire community, the Vedruna Europa Province interviewed Giclis Santamaría, the director of this educational center. In the conversation, he shares how they are coping during these times and expresses gratitude for the support received from various countries, reflecting the strength of bonds that transcend borders. The full interview can be read at vedruna.eu:
At the same time, El Carmelo School is doing outstanding work in communicating through its social media channels, where it reports on the most urgent needs, coordinates various ways to help, and demonstrates the commitment of the entire educational community, which is fully dedicated to assisting those affected. Those who wish to follow this initiative closely can do so through the school’s Facebook and Instagram profiles.
Solidarity continues to grow.
