The Manso Escorial in Vic, a fundamental place for our congregation, has been in the process of works for months to become a space dedicated to the figure of Joaquina de Vedruna. In mid 2024, the stained glass windows of the chapel and the urn containing the mortal remains of Joaquina were moved to the small chapel of the house called “Inter Community”, where the community of the Manso currently resides.
The goal of this restructuring project is to transform the house into a place of encounter, reflection and spirituality, where visitors can learn in depth about the life and legacy of Joaquina de Vedruna. This space seeks to offer a unique experience, inviting everyone to connect with the history and values of this important figure. The project is framed within a broader framework, which includes our memory, history and spirituality.
The Espacio-Manso commission, in charge of giving content and meaning to this new project, shares with us these photos and this video of their last visit to the works, at the beginning of January 2025, showing that they continue to advance at a good pace. The commission continues to work with enthusiasm to ensure that the Manso becomes a reference of experience and learning for all who visit it.
