“Mary, Mary Magdalen and Joaquina uphold the struggles of many women decisively committed to life today. Some of them have been killed for defending ethnic minorities; others plant trees tirelessly, harvest corn in the deserts, sustain the faith of communities, and are a moral reference that help them endure the difficulties of life; some protest in front of Parliaments; others shout ‘enough’ to the killings of women and unjust inequalities. All of them inspire us and bring us closer to God, and with them, we want to continue caring for Life”.
