This Friday, July 21, the Confirmation Mass of a group of 4th year students of Colegio El Carmelo was celebrated at the San Pedro Church in Los Chaguaramos, Caracas. The mass was presided by Father Jesús Suárez in which the students reaffirmed their faith in Jesus.
In this great event they were accompanied by the directors of the institution, coordinators, teachers, sponsors, family and friends of the confirmands. The choir conducted by Prof. Carlos Vargas animated the ceremony. These young people were prepared throughout the year by their catechists María Inés de Campos, Emmanuel Acosta and Oswaldo Jiménez. However, throughout all these years in the Institution they have been formed in the way of faith and at this moment they ratify that they want to follow Jesus.
During the homily, Father Suarez stressed the importance of this sacrament and encouraged the confirmands to truly commit themselves, to be authentic Christians and witnesses of the Gospel every day and throughout their lives.
They received the Chrism, accompanied by their godparents, thus assuming the responsibility of giving testimony of God’s love during this time.
Congratulations to all the students for this step in their formation as Christians.
May the Holy Spirit, whom you have received today in a special way, enlighten you always!
