Last weekend, the novitiate community of Vedrun-America, in Brazil, was marked by significant moments of formation for the journey in the mission with the youth and the vocational culture.
We participated in various training activities with groups of religious and lay people, offered by the Stigmatine Congregation, under the theme: “Training of advisors for young people: a Samaritan network”.
We reflected on several key points in order to know and assume in a more conscious and committed way this journey with youth:
Analysis of the current reality, spirituality and accompaniment in human formation, neuroscience and education: strategies for more efficient learning, life project and vocational culture, artificial intelligence: technological mediation in relationships and personal accompaniment, Francis’ educational project and the Synodal Youth Ministry.
On November 24, a meeting was held with the youth group of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish in Campinas. This event is part of the preparation for the first vows of the novice Maria Julia, which will be celebrated on December 8.
The meeting was marked by an open and enriching dialogue between the Sisters, the formandi and the young people present. In a simple and dynamic way, Religious Life and the three Vows were discussed. The objective was to present to the young people the story of a young woman about to say her “Yes”, just like Maria and Joaquina. For this, Maria Julia was invited to answer the questions that arose during the meeting, a moment guided by Sister Marilei.
At the end, we realized how grateful the young people were for the experience, and we, too, renewed in our hearts the desire to accompany the youth on their journey.
