A Cup of Arroz Caldo, A Heart of Prayer

Last October 18, 2025, a group of Vedruna Lay together with the CCV Sisters joined together for a free arroz caldo for the passers by along the the Notre Dame Avenue in front of the Carmelite community convent.

It was a great day for us, for we have again shared our blessings to the children, tricycle drivers and even the family who passed by the venue. Our hearts were filled with joy as we handed a cup of arroz caldo to the residents of Pigcawayan and nearby barrios.

We also recited the Holy Rosary for peace and enlightenment for the government officials to care for the Filipino people who are suffering from floods, earthquakes and other calamities due to corruption and improper distribution of government funds.

We truly hope that, in our own small way, the community felt nourished—not only by the arroz caldo, but also by the prayers that their hearts be filled with generosity. May every Filipino’s heart be touched by our Almighty Father, inspiring them to share whatever blessings they have with others.
