With great joy, our sisters Marguerite Mbima, Florence Kupay and Micheline Ngolo participated in the program “Appel aux vocations” of Radio Maria, sharing the meaning and significance of the Vedruna Bicentenary. It was a great opportunity to spread our charism and reflect on this great celebration of our family.

Then, on February 19, Sisters Clarisse Yengi and Chanceline Kayongo gave a conference entitled “God’s Work Does Not Die” to the students and teachers of the Vedruna school complex.

Through the life of St. Joaquina de Vedruna, we have discovered how God acts in every stage of existence. Her childhood was marked by a deep faith and a great love for the Lord. As a young woman, she already dreamed of consecrating herself to God. Her marriage was a path of sanctification lived with fidelity and trust. When she was widowed, she transformed her sorrow into a total surrender to God’s will. In her trials, her faith was not extinguished, but strengthened. An attentive mother, she knew how to educate her children in Christian values. Later, she responded fully to God’s call by becoming the foundress of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity. Her life teaches us that when the work comes from God, it crosses time and never dies.
