The closest friend of Tahanan Vedruna Tagaytay Children this Summer is “Nature”

Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held annually on 5 June since 1973, World Environment Day is the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world.

On this occasion, we share this testimony of the gardening activity for the Tagaytay children, in the Vedruna Philippine Delegation, in which they are encouraged to protect the environment, as part of their contribution to the world.

It is important for our children to give themselves time for gardening during weekdays (Monday to Friday) this summer vacation. They carve out time and space to be friends with nature, where they receive positive energy and are able to receive a positive impact to their emotional, psychological and physical wellness. While gardening together, they’re able to build a strong relationship with their community, helping each other, together in removing the grass and planting vegetables. Indeed, they show much interest in the natural environment around them by taking care of it. They are encouraged to protect our environment as part of their contribution to the world as observed on June 5,  the “World Environment Day”.
