The gift of a new vocation: a testimony of the Pre-Novitiate

The gift of new vocations brings fresh life and hope to our Congregation, renewing the spirit of our mission and the charism entrusted to us by St. Joaquina de Vedruna. Each step taken by those who answer God’s call fills our hearts with joy, gratitude, and renewed commitment to serve. Welcoming new sisters into our family is a reminder that the seed of God’s love continues to grow, bearing fruit in every generation. It is a blessing that inspires us all to walk faithfully together, united in our consecration and dedicated to loving and serving in Christ’s name. Today we share the testimony of Marjorie “Joy” Flores, who is beginning her journey as a pre-novitiate in the Philippines Delegation.

First and foremost, I am grateful to the CCV Tagaytay community and the Delegation Team for their help and support in my journey to continue serving God and following His will.

On the 16th of July 2025, I embarked on a new journey as a pre-novice, with the approval of the Philippine Delegation Team. I was filled with mixed emotions (nervousness and excitement) as I took this significant step towards fulfilling my long-held aspiration to dedicate my life in serving God. I also give thanks to our Lord God and our beloved mother, St. Joaquina de Vedruna, for graciously granting me the graces to continue my formation with dedication and love. May I be a faithful daughter of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Carmel, faithful to my consecration and vocation to love Jesus her Son, and a loyal daughter of Santa Joaquina de Vedruna, our Foundress.
