Since September 1, the worldwide Christian community has united in prayer and action to protect our common home during a special period dedicated to Creation. This year, the proposed theme is to hope and act with Creation.
In this season to renew our relationship with the Creator and all Creation through celebration, conversion and commitment together, we join our sisters and brothers of the ecumenical family in prayer for our common home.
Pope Francis, in celebrating the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on September 1, opening the Time of Creation, said:
“I sponsor on behalf of everyone, institutions, associations, families and all individuals, a concrete effort for our common home. The cry of the wounded Earth is becoming ever more alarming and calls for decisive and non-extendable action.”
Within the Vedruna Family, love for Creation occupies a very important place. Among other celebrations, the community of the Province of India recently celebrated the Time of Creation with the feast of the forest.
