The visit of the students of the Vedruna Santa Cruz school, in Maringá-Brazil, to the social action project for the elderly, was to get closer, to get to know, to share vulnerabilities that truly humanizes.
The Social Action Project: Day Center and Asylum, the result of a partnership between our Psychology and pastoral teams(@pastoralsantacruz), took the ninth grade classes of the Elementary School to an important experience, focused on the human values of adolescents. It was a unique opportunity to put into practice empathy, respect, responsibility and compassion, among other important feelings!
During the visit to the “Centro Día and Asilo São Vicente de Paulo”, the students had the opportunity to learn about the protection network for the elderly in Maringá, receiving guidance on how to relate to the elderly and reflecting on the importance of building emotional bonds. At the end of the day, the directors of the institutions opened a space for a special talk.
To close with a flourish, our psychologist Flávia and the pastoral educator, Mariana, made a reflection on the experience lived by the students.
